  1. Take a perfected typical floor layout such as those of a Hong Kong Housing Authority tower block. 

  2. Multiply it upwards.

  3. Then multiply it sideways in all four directions.

  4. Elevate the entire thing to allow access, airflow and vegetation.

This configuration allows maximum daylighting for residential uses and a lesser degree for the lower service and commercial uses. While unsuited to the higher latitudes, such an arrangement may be appropriate for tropical or subtropical climates. 

Over four upper levels, such a configuration would produce a population density greater than that of Manila.
