This house can be arbitrarily enlarged in three different. ways in each of three directions to suit changing household configurations. The minimal configuration comprises entrance hall, guest bathroom, kitchen and a two-story module having stairs, two bedrooms and bathrooms. Without its bathroom, the lower floor can serve as an interim living room.
The most likely first addition is a large living/dining room. Either two more bedrooms or a formal (Emirati-style) reception room could be added next. Maid's quarters can be added once there is the second reception room. Two more bedrooms can then be added above the kitchen/maid/formal entry module.
The hallway is the hub of the house and has six doors. One of them is the entrance itself and two others lead to any of the other modules according to access considerations and orientation preferences.
