Stacked Stairs
The idea was to configure an apartment building with minimal layout variation yet which allowed 1) apartments having different numbers of bedrooms, 2) apartments suitable for multi-generation families, 3) apartments for house sharing, co-living or co-mortgagees, apartments for air b'n'b type occupancy (with either partial or full access) and 5) apartments suitable for co-housing.
Each bedroom has its own entrance door, lobby and bathroom and access to the living area is either up or down the stairs. Apart from the staircases themselves, the only construction variation is the splitting of a lobby to allow access to the studio apartment.
