Walden 9
This proposal has the elevator lobby overlooked by the hallway window as was the case for The Landscape Within proposal, and not by the kitchen window as with the Walden 8 proposal. Since almost all internal circulation must be via the hallway in order to access the bathroom and bedrooms, this variation is not so much about observation but about having the most activity occur where the sight and possibly sound of it can make the elevator lobby and access corridor a place where the building can be experienced. as a building with multiple occupation, and in a good way. The stairs themselves are brought well into the building to allow overside landings with the potential for use as if they were balconies.
